Notes: Please wear comfortable clothes. It can be danced barefoot or on socks. The class will be taught in English.
Level 1: In this class, students will focus on basic techniques as well as strengthening the core, flexibility, posture, balance, and musicality. Class will be taught to both classical and upbeat music and dancers are expected to grasp an understanding on the simple meanings and definitions of movements. Dancers will be encouraged to build their repertoire of jazz and ballet through creative thinking in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Short choreographies and combinations will be taught and students will get the opportunity to practice easy to moderately complex barre routines.
Level 2: The main focuses of the course are body work and finding the joy of movement within your own body. The teaching will lead the class using principes from release technique. Dance experiance is helpful but no requirement for participation.
Contemporary Dance (with easy acrobatic elements) Level 1 + 2: This class starts with a "warmup" that is based on breathing exercises and activates all the important muscles. After that, class moves to diagonal exercises and small combinations, where the first acrobatic elements are trained (rolls, floorwork, cartwheels, handstands, and possible variations) safely. During this part, the dancers have a chance to work in their own pace and rhythm.
