Der
Sportbootführerschein Binnen (SBF Binnen) und der Sportbootführerschein See (SBF See) sind amtliche Motorbootführerscheine für Binnen- bzw. Seeschifffahrtsstraßen.
Ein Motorbootführerschein ist ab mehr als 11,03 kW (15 PS) bei Verbrenner- bzw. ab 7,5 kW (10,20 PS) bei Elektromotoren verpflichtend.
Der SBF Binnen kann für Motor- oder Segelboote (< 20 m) erworben werden, der SBF See ist ein reiner Motorbootführerschein.
Ziel:
Erlernen zentraler Bootsmanöver (Ablegen, Anlegen, Boje-über-Bord, Vollkreis, Rückwärtsfahren). Für den SBF See kommen Navigationsaufgaben mit dem Kompass hinzu.
Anmerkung:
- SBF See: Motorboot-Praxis + FU-Theoriekurs (Theorieabschluss vor Prüfungsanmeldung erforderlich).
- SBF Binnen: Motorboot-Praxis, Theorie im FU-Kurs oder per Selbststudium.
- Vor der Praxis müssen alle Inhalte des Informationsblatts Motorbootausbildung bekannt sein.
- Für die praktische Prüfung sind mindestens vier Ausbildungsstunden auf FU-UniSport-Booten nötig.
- Prüfungsgebühr ca. 128 € (an PA Berlin zu zahlen).
Terminbuchung:
Einzelstunden online buchen (Termine werden 30 Tage vorher freigeschaltet).
Termine an verschiedenen Tagen wählen, digitale Buchungsbestätigung zum Termin mitbringen.
Paarweise Teilnahme nur mit separater Buchung für beide Personen.
Ausbildungszeitraum ist vom 7. April – 9. Oktober 2026

Praktische Prüfungen finden im FU-Wassersportzentrum statt. Alle SBF Prüfungen werden über den Prüfungsausschuss Berlin gebucht, neu SBF Binnen Theorie ist im Wassersportzentrum möglich.
Theoriekurse für SBF Binnen & SBF See sind aktuell verfügbar. Literaturtipps zur Vorbereitung werden empfohlen.
Die vollständigen Prüfungsunterlagen müssen spätestens eine Woche vor dem Prüfungstermin per Post an den Prüfungsausschuss Berlin gesendet und parallel online beim FU-UniSport zur Prüfung eingetragen werden.

The Sportbootführerschein Binnen Motor (SBF Binnen) or See (SBF See) is the official Sport Boat Licence for motorboats, which is used to drive a sports vehicle on federal waterways within the scope of the Inland Navigation Ordinance (e. g. Wannsee) or the Maritime Navigation Road Ordinance (three nautical miles from the coast).
The motorboat licence is mandatory from an output of more than 11. 03 kW (15 hp). The SBF Inland can be stored for a motorboat or a sailboat or for both boat types (< 20 m). The SBF Lake is a pure motorboat licence.
Aim:
Learn practical boat maneuvers such as landing, mooring, buoy over board maneuvers, full circle, reverse for the SBF inland as well as navigation tasks for the SBF See-Schein.
Note:
The training for the recreational boat licence includes the motorboat practice (see below) as well as a theory course. The prerequisite for the examination is the previous completion of the SBF-See-Theory Training course at the FU Berlin. The theory courses are expected to be offered again in the winter semester.
The recreational boat licence Internally includes practical training in a motorboat.
The examination can only be completed in German.
When registering, the information sheet on motorboat training with all commands must be printed out, read and all contents taken note of.
For admission to the practical examination SBF Inland/Sea each participant must complete at least four hours of motorboat training on the FU UniSport boats. The SBF examination fees (approx. 128 Euro) have to be paid separately.
The motorboat practical appointments must be booked online as a single lesson in advance. Please select the dates on different days in order to get to know different training conditions.
The activation of the dates takes place exactly 30 days before the respective date. All appointments are activated by the hour. They can only be booked when the green button is displayed!
Please note: Two participants must register per hour, or if not, individual appointments can be rescheduled after consultation.
The training periods motorboat are april to october 2026.

Currently, one theory course can be offered, more will probably only take place again in the winter semester.

The complete examination documents must be sent by post two weeks before the examination date to the office of the Examination Committee Berlin (address: Gartenfelder Str. 29-37,13599 Berlin) and must be entered in the online registration lists for the SBF examination.
