The Dance Conditioning Series was developed by Footsteps Dance Studios to help recreational dancers improve their fitness, as well as providing a class for non-dancers who enjoy strengthening exercises and wish to enhance their flexibility. (Bildquelle: Footsteps)
Aims: This is a combination of a challenging fitness workout to increase power and build up muscles with a flexibility and dance technique programme, using upbeat music throughout the class.The class is composed of cardio, strength, endurance, balance and flexibility exercises to tone the body, increase allover flexibility and improve dance technique.There is an emphasis on toning the legs; bottom and core muscles to improve posture and build up strength for jumps. Squats and planks will be a regular part of the class, as well as exercises for gaining balance standing on toes (demi pointe) and strengthening ankles and feet.
Notes: Please wear loose-fitting clothes to class such as leggings. No shoes are needed; barefoot or socks are fine. No prior experience is needed. The classes are suitable for dancers and non-dancers and will be held in English.
