Geräteturnen
verantwortlich:

Gymnastics – a love-hate relationship for most people. You never liked it at school and you never really knew how to do it. But for others it always looks so easy and it would be great to stand upside down or do a somersault. So let’s get involved in the university sport of gymnastics! Everyone is welcome here, from absolute beginners to advanced.

Apparatus gymnastics consists of the four or six Olympic apparatus (vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor for women and floor, pommel horse, rings, floor, parallel bars, horizontal bar for men. Both individual elements, but especially connections and entire exercises are trained. Gymnastics means overcoming, self-control, but also trust. You have to be able to fully rely on your teammates, especially when it comes to assistance. You will not only train elements yourself, but also learn and give assistance. Gymnastics is not an individual sport, but It's a team sport. This also applies to setting up and dismantling, where everyone has to help. In addition to warming up, stretching and training on the equipment, the program also includes strength training, the basic requirement for successful gymnastics.

We recommend elastic clothing and gymnastics shoes or simply socks/barefoot.
